Dorothy H. Schultz, 95, of Emporia died on Saturday, April 8, 2017 at the Holiday Resort Care Center in Emporia.
Dorothy was born on April 23, 1921 in Leavenworth, Kansas the daughter of Edward and Anna Behrele Green. She married Claude L. Schultz on April 23, 1947 in Emporia, Kansas. He died on August 28, 2000 in Emporia.
Surviving family members include: son, Charles Schultz of Emporia; daughters, Patricia Markowitz of Olpe, Virginia Kiser and Kathleen Schultz both of Emporia, and Jane Powell of Palmyra, Nebraska; brother B.J. Green of Emporia; Eighteen grandchildren, and nineteen great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, son Richard Schultz, and grandson Perry Kiser, Jr.
Dorothy was a production worker for I.B.P. for 10 years. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and a past member of the Alter Society. She was an avid bingo player. Dorothy loved the Kansas City Royals, and KU.
Cremation is planned with Mass of Christian burial at 10:00 A.M., Wednesday, April 12, 2017 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church with burial following at the Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery. The rosary will be recited at 7:00 P.M. Tuesday night Roberts-Blue-Barnett Funeral Home. Memorial contributions to the Memory Walk at the Holiday Resort Care Center can be sent in care of the funeral home.
