Dylan Olson, 19, Americus, Kansas, died December 4, 2011 in Americus.
Dylan Albert Lee Olson, son of Glenn Schneider and the late Kimberly Jo Olson Schneider, was born on June 22, 1992 in Emporia, Kansas.
Dylan is survived by: his infant daughter, Teigh Lynn Kimberly Olson, Americus; companion, Paige Danielle Schrader, Americus; father, Glenn Schneider, Manhattan, Kansas; sister, Marah Noel Schneider, Americus; grandparents, Kathi Olson, Americus, Dan Phelan, Americus, and Kenny Olson, Sioux Falls, South Dakota; and aunts, uncles, and numerous cousins.
He was preceded in death by: his mother, Kimberly; grandfather, Spencer Schneider; and great-grandparents, Albert and Geraldine Otto, and Gordon and Dorothy Olson.
Dylan attended elementary school in Americus, Council Grove, and also Emporia, and he attended Americus Junior High School. He graduated from Northern Heights High School, Allen, Kansas and was enrolled at Manhattan Area Technical College. He had worked for Manko and Walmart, and had aspirations to become a lineman.
Dylan was confirmed at Messiah Lutheran Church, Emporia, and was a member of Faith Lutheran Church, also in Emporia. His hobbies included fishing, woodworking, cooking, and spending time with friends and family, especially his daughter.
Funeral services will be held at 7:00 p.m., Friday, December 9, 2011 at Roberts-Blue-Barnett Funeral Home, Emporia. Services will be conducted by Pastor Keith Wiens, and Kyle Olson, DCE, both of First Lutheran Church, Manhattan. Cremation will take place following the service.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Thursday, December 8, 2011.
