February 27, 1921 — June 17, 2017

Earl Henry Kayser, 96, died Saturday, June 17, 2017 at Holiday Resort.

He was born on March 11, 1921 in northern Lyon County to Carl and Jennie Duncan Kayser. He attended National Trail Grade School on Highway 56 and graduated from Bushong High School in 1938.

His family later moved to the farm next to Sunnyside Cemetery on road 310.

He was a farmer all his life, and also worked in construction as a carpenter for many years.

As a young man, Earl played baseball with a Council Grove team and enjoyed watching T.V. baseball games.

Earl stayed on the farm taking care of his mother until she died in 1985. He continued working on the farm until 2007, when he moved to Holiday Resort.

Earl is survived by his niece and her husband, Elaine and Ross Humphrey of Americus. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister Mildred Eckel.

He wished to be cremated and have no services.
