Earl G. White, 75, of Emporia died Tuesday, September 11, 2018 at Midland Hospice Care in Topeka.

Earl George White the son of Earl E. and Edith Sarah Yeager White was born April 17, 1943 in Emporia. He married Connie L. Farmer in Emporia. They later divorced.

Earl was a production worker at Dolly Madison Bakery. He is a veteran serving in the Army during the Viet Nam War. He was a member of Ball-McColm post #5, American Legion and a member and officer of Lowry Funston Post #1980, Veterans of Foreign Wars.

He is survived by a daughter, Brenda White of Emporia; a son, Earl White of Georgia; his ex-wife, Connie Padgette and a brother Perry John White both of Emporia; three granddaughters, Nicole White of Kansas City, MO, Carlotta Gardenhire and Alexia Gardenhire both of Topeka, two step-grandsons, Matthew Murray of El Dorado, and SerrDavid Murray of Emporia; and eight great-grandchildren.   One sister died earlier.

Funeral services will be held at the Roberts-Blue-Barnett Funeral Home, Emporia, on Friday, September 21, 2018 at 10:30 A.M. conducted by Pastor Earl Detwiler. Interment will follow in the Cottonwood Cemetery west of Emporia with military graveside honors presented by Lowry-Funston Post #1980, Veterans of Foreign Wars and Ball-McColm Post #5, American Legion.

The family will receive friends one hour before the service.
