Edward Alton Weaver

Edward "Ed"Alton Weaver, the late son of Sanders and Lillie Thompson Weaver and brother of the late Virginia Laverne Hubert, was born on August 1, 1937 in Ashe County, NC and went to be with the Lord on April 8, 2018 while his loving wife of 57 years, Mary Elizabeth (Riddle) Weaver, was by his side.  He is survived by two daughters, Sonja (Kevin) Messick and Sherry (Frank) Hessler, grandchildren: Sarah, Christopher, Conner, Carina, Keith, Kenny, Amy; great-grandchildren: Caydence, Levi, Hunter, Zeneca, Lillian; nephews: Tracy and Eric; niece: Tammy; brother-in-law, John Hubert.

Ed served in the United States Air Force for 20 years; he was honored with the distinguished Commendation Medal and is a Vietnam Veteran. Additionally, he worked in the nuclear power plant/Quality Assurance field 30+ years post military retirement.

Ed was well loved by his family and all who knew him; he will be greatly missed.

A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, April 11, 2018, 10:00 AM at the Cornerstone Baptist Church, Emporia, KS. Honorary pallbearers: Christopher Scherer, Conner Weaver Snook, Keith Hessler and Kenny Messick.
