Ella B. Lawson

Ella B. “Nan” Lawson, 89, of Emporia died on Monday, May 22, 2017 at her home.

Ella was born on November 21, 1927 in Canton, Kansas the daughter of Clause and Elsie Meta Brandt Vogts. She married Charles Calvin Lawson on September 15, 1946 at the Zion Lutheran Church, Olpe, Kansas. He died on January 28, 1986 in Emporia.

Surviving family members include: son, Russell Lawson and wife Nancy of Emporia; daughter, Vickie Price and husband Warren of Emporia; grandchildren, Corey Lawson (Jan), Brian Lawson (Misty), Joshua Lawson (Michelle), Scott Price (Angie), Holly Sims (Lucas), and Caley Lawson; great-grandchildren, Logan Lawson, Ella Jane Sims, Emmett Price, Kacen Lawson, Eivan Price, and Eva Lawson.

Ella is preceded in death by her parents, husband, a son, Charles Jr., and thirteen brothers and sisters.

Ella was a homemaker. She was a member of the Messiah Lutheran Church, Emporia.

Cremation is planned with a memorial service at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, May 25, 2017 at the Messiah Lutheran Church, Emporia. Private burial will be at a later date at the Zion Cemetery, Olpe.
