Erma Jean Tucker of Emporia, died on Saturday, August 2, 2025, at her home. She was 82.
Erma Jean was born on October 12, 1942, at the St. Mary's Hospital in Emporia the daughter of Ralph E. and Elenor N. Wagner Kahle. She married Lawrence J. Tucker, Sr. on March 3, 1961, in Miami, Oklahoma. He died on June 20, 2005, in Elmdale, Kansas.
Surviving family members include her son, Lawrence Jamie (Andrea) Tucker of Emporia; daughter, Lisa N. (Todd) Coffey of Pleasant Hill, Missouri; grandchildren, Alicia M. Myers, Nathan A. Myers, and Lawrence J. (JT) Tucker III.
She is preceded in death by her husband, parents, Brother Ernest D. Kahle, sisters Lula M. Tucker and Maureen Busby.
Erma Jean was a homemaker. In her free time, she enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren. She was a master seamstress and passionate about her home interior decorating and making crafts as well as gardening and working with her flowers.
Graveside services will be at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, August 7, 2025, at the Patio Garden at Maplewood Memorial Lawn Cemetery, Emporia. You can leave online condolences at www.robertsblue.com
