Errol Wade Myers

Errol W. Myers, Americus, Kansas, passed away at his home on Monday, June 8, 2026 at the age of 53.

Errol Wade Myers was born at Emporia, Kansas on September 7, 1972, the son of Gary D. Myers and Lynda (Harris) Schreck. Errol and Heather Whinery were married in Americus, Kansas September 4, 1993. She survives of the home. Also surviving are his daughter; Samantha Myers and Fiancé Trenton Cott and son; Chandler Myers Sr., both in Emporia, brothers; Clint (Holly) Myers, Lebo, Kansas and Charles “Chuck” (Tara) Schreck, Kevil, Kentucky, and grandson; Chandler Levi Myers, Jr. He was preceded in death by his grandparents; Gladys & Franklin Myers, Ferne & Lynn Harris, and uncles; Phil Myers & Gerald Myers.

He was a "Diesel Shop Guy," doing everything from turning wrenches to working as a service writer and parts guy. He did it all, at Black Creek Diesel and Automotive in Emporia. Errol was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps, attaining the rank of Corporal.

The family will receive friends at the Roberts-Blue-Barnett Funeral Home, Emporia, Friday evening, June 12, 2026 from 6:00 P.M. until 7:30 P.M. Funeral services will be conducted in the funeral home chapel Saturday, June 13 at 10:30 A.M. Burial will follow in the Americus Cemetery, Americus, Kansas with Military Honors provided by a detail from the United States Marine Corps, Ball-McColm Post #5, American Legion and Lowry-Funston Post #1980, Veterans of Foreign Wars.
