Ethel M. Dallke, 87, of rural Allen died on Sunday, November 6, 2016 at Holiday Resort Care Center in Emporia.
Ethel was born on April 15, 1929 in Bartlesville, Oklahoma the daughter of John H. and Ruth A. Taggart Hill. She married Leonard L. “Bud” Dallke on January 29, 1951 in Sterling, Kansas. He died on May 14, 2011 in Emporia, Kansas.
Surviving family members include: sons, Leonard L. Dallke, Jr. of Allen, David L. Dallke of Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, and Kenneth D. Dallke of Burton, Kansas; daughter, E. Marietta Peterson of Burlingame, Kansas; fourteen grandchildren, thirty-seven great-grandchildren, and one great-great-granddaughter; and many others she considered her “Adopted” children and grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, and sister Betty Wallace.
Ethel was a teacher’s aide for 20 plus years for the Admire Grade School. She enjoyed baking, sharing recipes, sending cards, reading and puzzles.
Cremation is planned with a service at a later date. Burial will be at the Admire Cemetery, Admire, Kansas. In lieu of flowers you can send memorial contributions to USD 251 for the Ethel Dallke Memorial Scholarship Fund in care of Roberts-Blue-Barnett Funeral Home.
