Etta Viola Musquiz, 92, of Emporia, died on December 29, 2010 at her home.
  
  
  Etta Viola Beeman was born on July 20, 1918 in Blackwell, Oklahoma, the daughter of Oscar Phoebus and Minnie Elizabeth Willhoite Beeman. She married Robert A. Waite on September 4, 1941 in Winfield, Kansas. He died on August 3, 1975 in Perryton, Texas. She later married Frank Musquiz on April 2, 1978 in Garden City, Kansas. He died on June 24, 2008 in Emporia, Kansas.
  
  
  She is survived by two sisters Carol Brummett of Little Rock, Arkansas, and June Whitson of Plano, Texas; her caregiver Dixie Dugan of Emporia; and many nieces and nephews.
  
  
  She was preceded in death by both husbands, her parents, and four sisters.
  
  
  Etta was a teacher in Kansas, and a librarian in Perryton and Amarillo Texas. She was a member of the Garden City United Methodist Church in Garden City, Kansas.
  
  
  Cremation is planned with no services. Inurnment will be in the Greenwood Cemetery, south of Emporia. Memorial contributions to Hand in Hand Hospice may be sent in care of the funeral home.
