Faye Nuessen passed away at Northcare Hospice House, Kansas City, Missouri, on Saturday, November 17, 2012 at the age of 74.
Faye A. Boline was born at the family home in Admire, Kansas, on December 20, 1937, the daughter of Raymond E. and Ava Nellie Grace (Greenlee) Boline. She married Duane C. Nuessen in Emporia on May 24, 1959. He died November 23, 2001.
Surviving Mrs. Nuessen are her two sons, Brian Nuessen of Parkville, Missouri, and Brad Nuessen of Emporia; two brothers, Duane Boline of Olathe, Kansas and LeRoy Boline of Admire; and two grandchildren, Megan and Cole Nuessen.
Mrs. Nuessen received her Bachelors (1958) and Masters (1972) Degrees from Emporia State University. She taught high school business courses for 37 years, including 25 years at Yates Center (Kansas) High School and later Pittsburg (Kansas) High School. She retired in 1995.
She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Emporia; the Lunch Bunch; The Red Hatters in Emporia and later Kansas City, Missouri; as well as serving with the Newman Hospital Auxiliary in Emporia.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M., Wednesday, November 21, 2012 at Roberts-Blue-Barnett Funeral Home, Emporia. The service will be conducted by Mr. Charles Bradbury, First United Methodist Church, Emporia. Interment will follow in Memorial Lawn Cemetery, Emporia. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday evening, November 20, 2012 from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M.
