Frances Mary Kehres, 91, of Olpe, Kansas, died Tuesday, September 13, 2011 at Newman Regional Health in Emporia, Kansas.
Frances Mary Langley was born July 10, 1920 in Olpe, Kansas, the daughter of Preston and Mary (Duggan) Langley. Frances married Walter C. Kehres in Olpe, Kansas on June 18, 1941. He died December 22, 2002 in Olpe. Frances was a homemaker and worked the family farm with her husband. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Olpe, the T.O.P.S., Olpe HDU, Quilting Corner, St. Annes Alter Society, election worker, and a board member of Olpe State Bank.
Frances is survived by: four sons, Robert Kehres of Jacksonville, North Carolina, Richard Kehres of Las Vegas, Nevada, David Kehres of Olpe, and Gerald Kehres of Emporia; daughter, Mary "Betty" Elizabeth Gessl of Wichita, Kansas; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and three brothers, George Langley, John Langley, and Thaddeus Langley.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, September 17, 2011 at 10:00 A.M. at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Olpe. Father Anthony Williams will be the Celebrant. Interment will follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery. The Rosary will be recited Friday, September 16, 2011 at 6:00 P.M. at St. Joseph Catholic Church.
