Frances Kline, 100, of Emporia, Kansas, formerly a long-time teacher and resident of Great Bend, Kansas, passed away on December 31, 2011 at her home in Emporia.
The daughter of Burr and Anna Woodfill Wiand, Frances was born on August 13, 1911, in Converse, Indiana. She married Harry S. Kline in 1940, in Fredonia, Kansas.
She received a Bachelor of Arts and also a Masters Degree in music education from Emporia State University in Emporia. Mrs. Kline taught music for 32 years in the Great Bend school system, and prior to that she taught in Neosho Rapids and Elmdale, Kansas.
Mrs. Kline was preceded in death by her husband, parents, two brothers, a sister, and a niece. She is survived by two nephews and three nieces. Mrs. Kline has been cremated.
