Francis L. Morgan

Francis L. Morgan, 89, Emporia, Kansas, passed away at the Emergency Room of Newman Regional Health on Sunday, October 7, 2018.

Francis Leroy Morgan was born in Emporia, Kansas on July 18, 1929, the son of William and Edna (Rider) Morgan. He married Sheila Nadine Eidman in Saffordville, Kansas on September 19, 1954. She died September 7, 2006.

Surviving family members include his son; Michael Dean Morgan, Emporia, daughter; Cathy Lynn Morgan, Nashville, TN, Grandson; Shea Michael Morgan, and his wife, Victoria Catherine (Brenn), and Great-grandchildren; Harlie Grace and Marshall Dean Morgan.

He was preceded in death by his wife, three brothers and two sisters.

Francis worked for the United States Postal Service as a letter carrier for over 40 years and retired in 1992. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Emporia

Cremation is planned. A memorial service will be held at the First United Methodist Church of Emporia on Friday, October 12, 2018 at 2:00 P.M. The service will be conducted by Pastor Karla Sheffy of the church.

A memorial has been established with the Emporia Senior Center with contributions sent in care of Roberts-Blue-Barnett Funeral Home, PO Box #175, Emporia, Kansas 66801.
