Frank A. Arndt, 81, rural Emporia, passed away at his home Friday morning, August 18, 2017.
Funeral services will be held at the Roberts-Blue-Barnett Funeral Home in Emporia at 10:00 AM Wednesday, August 23, 2017, conducted by Father Brandon Farrar, Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Emporia. Burial will follow in the Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 PM
Frank Arthur Arndt was born in Emporia, Kansas on September 3, 1935, the son of Alouis and Isabelle (Flott) Arndt. He married Marcia Lou Jevons at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Emporia, on November 11, 1961. She died February 9, 2010.
Surviving family members include his daughter, Cindy Klumpe and her husband Mike, Olpe, Kansas; sons, Tom Arndt and his wife, Debbie, and Tim Arndt and his wife, Kristie, of Emporia; a sister, Isabelle Spellman, Emporia; and grandchildren, Casey Arndt, Josh Klumpe and his wife, Lauren, Jason Klumpe, Jessica Klumpe, Devin Arndt and Coltin Arndt.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; brothers, Clarence and Robert; and sisters, Jean Witherspoon, Ellen Heins, and an infant sister, Helen.
Mr. Arndt was a stockman/rancher during his lifetime, and never really retired. He was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church and the Lyon County Fair Board for 35 years, of which he had served as Chairman.
