Gary David Waechter, 56, Emporia, Kansas, passed away Tuesday, January 1, 2019 at his home.
Gary was born May 18, 1962 in Emporia, the son of Leo J. and Rosa C. (Walters) Waechter. He was an over the road truck driver for several years. Gary was an avid KC Royals fan and a huge supporter of Olpe High School sports. He also loved his cat, Smokey.
Surviving Gary are his three brothers; Alan Waechter and wife Roxi, John Waechter, and Leo (Jr.) Waechter, all of Emporia
,
and four sisters; Karen Hayes and husband Jack of Olpe, Mary Poe of Wichita, Sandy Crabaugh and husband Steve of Kansas City, Kansas, and Lori Palmer of Independence, Kansas, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents as well as brothers, Gregory and Daniel Waechter.
Cremation is planned. Graveside services will be held at the Saint Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Olpe, on Friday, January 11, 2019 at 11:00 A.M.
