Georgia Frazier

Georgia Frazier, 89, formerly of Emporia, Kansas, and a resident at the Good Samaritan Society of Olathe, Kansas, died Monday morning, June 25, 2012 in Olathe.

Georgia was born in Emporia on August 16, 1922, the daughter of Walter H. and Atha E. Merrell Martin. She married Ivan Harold Frazier on December 4, 1940 in Emporia. He died on April 9, 2011 in Emporia.

Surviving family members include: sons, Gary Frazier of Olathe, and Daryl Frazier of Gardner, Kansas; three grandchildren, Mechelle Smokorowski, Susan Frazier, and David Frazier; and three great-grandchildren, Jackson, Garrett, and Georgia Smokorowski.

She is preceded in death by her parents, and two brothers, Don Martin, and Harry Martin.

Georgia was a homemaker. She was a lifetime member of Cottonwood Friends Church, Emporia, where she was a Sunday school teacher and a member of the Cottonwood Friends Women’s Missionary’s society. She was also member of the Kansas Rural Letter Carriers Women’s Auxiliary.

The funeral service will be held at 10:00 A.M, Thursday, June 28, 2012 at Roberts-Blue-Barnett Funeral Home in Emporia. Burial will be at Memorial Lawn Cemetery, Emporia. The service will be conducted by Pastor George Boesch of Cottonwood Friends Church. A visitation will be from 9:00 A.M. Thursday morning until service time at Roberts-Blue-Barnett Funeral Home.
