Georgia Marie Haag, 76 of Olpe, Kansas died Saturday, September 2, 2017 at the Emporia Presbyterian Manor.
Georgia was born February 2, 1941 in Smithville, Missouri the daughter of Warren L. and Hilda Marie (Marshall) Allen. She worked as a waitress at the Olpe Chicken House and retired from the deli at Dillons West in Emporia. Georgia was a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Olpe, St. Ann’s Alter Society, Flying Needles, Quilting Corner and Happy Homemakers.
Georgia married Glen John Haag on February 20, 1960 in Excelsior Springs, Missouri. He died November 20, 2013 in Burlington, Kansas.
She is survived by a son Michael Haag and wife Leanne of Olpe, Kansas, daughters Lois Cox and husband Bob of Madison, Kansas, Patricia Jenkins and husband Clint of Reading, Kansas, Barbara Haag of Wichita, Kansas, sisters Bonita Allen of Lawson, Missouri, Dixie Johnson of Lawson, Missouri, 12 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. Georgia was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brother Rex Allen, sister Ellen Riddle and a granddaughter Raven Lakota Haag-Ramirez.
The family will receive friends 6:30 P.M. to 7:30 P.M. Wednesday, September 6, 2017 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Olpe the rosary will be recited at 7:30 P.M. immediately following the visitation. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 A.M. Thursday, September 7, 2017 at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Father John Cordes will be the Celebrant. Interment will be in the St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Olpe.
