Gladys Louise Myers, 90 of Americus, Kansas died August 4, 2018 at the Holiday Resort Care Center in Emporia, Kansas.

Gladys was born June 19, 1928 in Emporia the daughter of Fred Oscar and Marie Ingred (Nielsen) Johnson. She was the housewife of a dairy farmer for 40 years, drove a school bus in North Lyon County for 28 years, and had a greenhouse after she retired. Gladys was a life member of the Gardeners of America, served 15 years as the Americus Presbyterian Church treasurer, was a charter member of the 40 th Farmeretts Home Extension Unit, charter member of the Frost 4-H Club, served on the Lyon County Extension Board and was a 4-H Leader for many years.

On June 23, 1946 Gladys married Franklin C. Myers at the Dunlap Methodist Church. He died January 26, 2008 in Americus. She is survived by her sons Gary Myers of Americus, Gerald Myers and wife Sharon of Americus, and Howard Myers and wife Bev of Overbrook, 11 grandchildren, 4 step grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, and 7 great-great-grandchildren. Gladys was preceded in death by her parents, husband a son Phillip Myers, a sister and a brother.

Funeral services will be 10:00 Monday, August 13, 2018 at Roberts-Blue-Barnett Funeral Home in Emporia. Pastor Pat Ireland of the Americus Presbyterian Church will be officiating. The family will receive friends from 4:00 P.M. to 5:00 P.M. Sunday, August 12, 2018 at the funeral home. Interment will be in the Americus Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Americus Presbyterian Church or the Lyon County 4-H and sent in care of Roberts-Blue-Barnett Funeral Home.
