Glen J. Haag, 88, Olpe, Kansas, passed away Wednesday, November 20, 2013 at Life Care Center of Burlington.
  
  
  Glen J. Haag, the son of Mike and Margaret Schorer Haag, was born on October 29, 1925 on the family farm, in rural Olpe. He attended St. Joseph School and then worked on the Haag farm until 1946. He joined the Army and served in Berlin, Germany. In 1948 he was discharged and went back to farming in Olpe for two years. He moved to Elmira, Missouri in 1951 to work on a farm with Kansas City Stockyard Commissioners Wright and Williams. There he farmed, fed cattle, and helped in the stockyards until 1965.
  
  
  Glen married Georgia Marie Allen at Ann’s Catholic Church in Excelsior Springs, Missouri on February 20, 1960. Glen and family moved to Bucyrus in 1965 where he farmed, raised cattle and sold sod in partnership with Ed Hendrickson.
  
  
  In 1978 Glen and family moved to the Haag homestead owned by Glen and his sister Maurine Haag Hilding. He continued to farm on the homestead and raise cattle until he retired in September of 1992.
  
  
  He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, the Olpe Knights of Columbus, Brinkman-Price Post #342 of the American Legion, and Lowry-Funston Post #1980 of Veterans of Foreign Wars.
  
  
  He is survived by his wife, Georgia Allen Haag of the home; his son, Michael Glen Haag and wife Leanne of Olpe; three daughters, Lois Marie Cox and husband Bob of Madison, Patricia Anne Jenkins and husband Clint of Miller, and Barbara Irene Haag of Wichita; a brother, Larry Haag of Olpe; four sisters, Norma Bluma of Emporia, Maurine Hilding of McKinney, Texas, Lola Kresin of Topeka, and Lavonne Hayes of Lecompton; twelve grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
  
  
  He was preceded in death by his parents; a granddaughter, Raven Lakota Haag; six brothers; and two sisters.
  
  The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 A.M. Monday, November 25, 2013 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Olpe. Father John Cordes of St. Joseph Catholic Church will be the celebrant. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Olpe, with military honors by Brinkman-Price Post #342 of the American Legion.
  
  
  The Rosary and visitation will be held from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Sunday, November 24, 2013 at St. Joseph Catholic Church. In lieu of flowers, the family instead suggests contributions to Olpe Knights of Columbus # 1589 or St. Joseph Cemetery Endowment Fund. Contributions may be sent in care of the funeral home.
