Glen Ray Stinson, 84, of Allen, Kansas, died Monday, October 14, 2013 at Flint Hills Care Center in Emporia, Kansas.

Glen was born May 15, 1929 in rural Admire, Kansas, the son of Elmer R. and Beulah M. (Bowden) Stinson. He married Norma Lee Cripps at Eskridge, Kansas on May 21, 1950. She survives of the home.

Other survivors include: daughters, Jeanne Rae (Stinson) Kell and husband Hershel of Overland Park, Kansas, and Peggy Lee (Stinson) Ziegler and husband Mark of Allen; brother, Rodney Stinson of Port Byron, Illinois; grandchildren, Tyler Glen Kell, Nicole Marie Ziegler, Bailey Delaine Ziegler, Shawn Kell, and Shelly (Kell) Saylor; and great-grandchildren, Natalie Mae Smith, Daniel Matthews, McKensey Kell, Tanner Kell, Kelsey Saylor, and Megan Saylor.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother, Dale Stinson.

Glen was a lifelong farmer and stockman in the Admire area, and worked many years at Davidson Feed Lot. He was always there for any neighbor in need. His greatest pleasure came from time spent with his family doing the simple things in life. Glen served as a trustee for the Waterloo Township and as Sexton for Pleasant Ridge Cemetery for many years.

Graveside services were held Thursday, October 17, 2013 at Pleasant Ridge Cemetery, Admire. Pastor Mike Angel of Shawnee, Kansas officiated.
