Glenn Norris Greenlee

Glenn Norris Greenlee age 96, passed away Friday April 11, 2025, at AdventHealth in Ottawa, Kansas.

Glenn was born Friday November 2, 1928, in Hartford Kansas to Charles Greenlee and Mable (Piper) Greenlee. After Graduating High School, he married JaNelda Crandell on March 17, 1950, in Franklin, Indiana. Then he served in the United States Army.  While stationed in Indiana he was able to take leave and come home and help with the 1951 flood before being sent to Germany as a Medic where he got to work the Olymics for a few days.  After coming home, he worked for Didde Web Press for over 35 years.   He raised and showed collies for many years as well as having a Longhorn.  During that time, he was raising and showing Pony's of America and one of them made it to 5th. in the nation.  He knew so many people that he didn't go anywhere without running into someone he knew.

Survived by his companion Marnye Mickelson; daughter, Cheryl (Rick) Ball of Spring Hill; grandchildren, Josh (Natalia Costa-Ball) Ball of Manhattan and Jared Ball of Lee's Summit; great-grandchildren Hunter Costa-Ball and Sebastian Costa-Ball; Marnye's children Jennifer Streeter and family, and Jim Mickelson and family.

He is preceded in death by his wife JaNelda Greenlee, parents Charles Greenlee, Mable Greenlee and sister Marjorie McClure.

Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday 24, 2025, at Roberts-Blue-Barnett Funeral Home. Graveside services will be at 2:00 pm on Friday April 25, 2025, at the Patio Garden at Maplewood Memorial Lawn Cemetery with military honors by the Ball-McColm Post #5 American Legion and Lowry Funston-Post #1980 Veterans of Foreign Wars.  Memorial contributions can be made to the Eagle Creek Saddle Club or Southern Lyon County Honor Flight can be sent in care of Roberts-Blue-Barnett Funeral Home, P.O. Box 175, Emporia, Kansas 66801.

He was a great Cowboy and Friend and will be missed by all.
