Glenn R. Palmer, 82, retired barber, formerly of Emporia, died Sunday, July 6, 2014 9 in Shawnee, Kansas.
He was born in Mapleton, Kansas, to Esker and Verna (Killion) Palmer on May 21, 1932.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Dolores; daughter and son-in-law, Amy Palmer and Lee Root, all of the home; a son, Ron Palmer of Wichita, Kansas; a brother, Lawrence Palmer of Emporia; two grandchildren, Kristine (Sylvaine) Cooper and Michael (Jessie Grider) Palmer, and three great-grandchildren, all of Emporia.
Glenn was preceded in death by his parents; an infant sister, Wanda Marie; and three brothers, Harold, Robert, and Willard.
His memorial service will be 1:00 P.M., Monday, July 14, 2014 at Roberts Blue Barnett Funeral Home, Emporia.
