Gloria J. Mosebey, 61, of Emporia, Kansas, died on December 4, 2013 at her home after a long battle with metastatic breast cancer of the lymph nodes.
  
  
  Gloria was born on August 6, 1952 in Wichita, Kansas, the daughter of Anthony and Amelia Fisher Sakis. She married Dennis Mosebey on August 9, 1980 in Garden Plain, Kansas. He survives.
  
  
  Other survivors include: her daughters, Amelia Otto and husband Sean of Emporia, Ashley Robben and husband Aaron of Prairie Village, Kansas, and Annie Mosebey and fiancé Marco Moore of Emporia; brothers, T.J. Sakis of Palmer, Alaska, Paul Sakis of Meade, Kansas, and Don Sakis of Palmer, Alaska; and sisters, Rosie Sakis of Goddard, Kansas, Kathy Otoupal of Carlsbad, New Mexico, and Evelyn Cranmer of Wichita.
  
  
  She is preceded in death by her parents, and a sister, Sylvia Sakis Pinaire.
  
  
  Gloria was a homemaker and also volunteered at Hetlinger, and rest homes where she played her guitar for the patients and staff. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
  
  
  Gloria loved incorporating music and her church into her daily life. She conducted children's programs at Sacred Heart, played guitar Masses, and participated in all parish activities in any way she could. She also worked before her marriage and for a short time thereafter, as a paraprofessional at Sunnyside School in Wichita and at an elementary school in Waukegan, Illinois. She loved all children dearly, especially those with special needs. She was active in the Sacred Heart Rosary Prayer Group, and along with a friend started Divine Mercy Sunday services. She lived her Catholic faith every day with a passion for her Lord.
  
  
  Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10:30 A.M., Tuesday, December 10, 2013 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Emporia. Interment will follow at Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery. The Rosary will be recited at 7:00 P.M. Monday evening, December 9, 2013 at the church. The family will then receive friends until 8:30 P.M. following the Rosary.
  
  
  Instead of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to Sacred Heart Catholic School and sent in care of Roberts-Blue-Barnett Funeral Home.
