Grace Ann Suddock, 87, formerly of Emporia, died Saturday, December 18, 2010 at the Golden Rule Home, Shawnee, Oklahoma.
  
  
  Grace was born February 25, 1923 in Cottonwood Falls, Kansas, the daughter of David William and Mabel Irene Woyame Brainard. Grace married Dwight E. Suddock on May 19, 1946 in Emporia, Kansas. He passed away on September 6, 1995.
  
  
  She is survived by: son, Dwight E. Suddock, Jr., Shawnee, Oklahoma; sister, Dorothy Maxine Berrie, Topeka, Kansas; two grandsons, Michael Suddock and his wife Rebecca, and Kelly Suddock; and two great-granddaughters, Mena and Madison Suddock.
  
  
  Grace was preceded in death by her parents, as well as her husband.
  
  
  Grace and her husband owned Suddock Printing Company in El Dorado, Kansas for 22 years. She also had worked for the Hallmark Card Plant in Emporia. She was a former member of the Air Capitol Prisoners of War Auxiliary in Wichita, Kansas, and the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1980 Auxiliary, Emporia.
  
  
  Services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Friday, December 31, 2010 at Roberts-Blue-Barnett Funeral Home, Emporia. The family will receive friends at the funeral home beginning one hour prior to the service. Burial will be at the Americus Cemetery, Americus, Kansas.
  
  
  Memorial contributions may be made to either Emporia Friends of the Zoo, or Alzheimer’s and Related Disorders Association, and sent in care of the funeral home.
