Gregory M. Gerleman, Emporia, Kansas, died at Newman Regional Health Emergency Department on January 16, 2011. He was 62.
  
  
  Gregory M. Gerleman was born at Emporia, Kansas on April 4, 1948, the son of Albert J. and Loretta Rues Gerleman.
  
  
  Surviving family members include: his son, Austin Gerleman of Cleves, Ohio; brothers, Jerry Gerleman, Leavenworth, Kansas, Jim Gerleman, San Francisco, California, Phil Gerleman, Burlingame, Kansas, Dick Gerleman, Salina, Kansas, and Maurice Gerleman, Colorado Springs, Colorado.
  
  
  He was preceded in death by his parents, and brothers, R.J. Gerleman, D. Kenneth Gerleman, and John Gerleman.
  
  
  He served in the United States Army from 1968 to 1970, and was a member of the Teamsters Union, and the National Rifle Association. He was a driver for UPS for 30 years, and had been retired four months.
  
  
  Funeral services will be held Thursday, January 20, 2011 at 2:00 P.M. in the chapel of Roberts-Blue-Barnett Funeral Home, Emporia. The service will be conducted by Father Anthony Williams, Saint Joseph Catholic Church, Olpe, Kansas. Interment will be in the Saint Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Olpe, with military honors presented by a detail from the United States Army, Fort Riley, Kansas.
  
  
  A memorial has been established for his son’s education. Gifts may be sent in care of the funeral home.
