Gwendolyn Ruth Anderson, 91, of Emporia, Kansas, died on February 29, 2012 at Holiday Resort Care Center in Emporia.
Gwendolyn was born on March 7, 1920 in Emporia, the daughter of George W. and Crystal Ruth Young Anderson.
She is survived by: brother, George Anderson of Bowie, Maryland; sisters, Virginia Sue Askland of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, and Betty Smith of Hutchinson, Kansas.
She is preceded in death by her parents, and a sister, Patricia Jean Anderson.
Gwendolyn worked in various health care and service oriented occupations over the years in Emporia. She is a member of the First United Methodist Church in Emporia.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, March 5, 2012 at The Patio Garden in Memorial Lawn Cemetery, Emporia. Burial will take place at Memorial Lawn Cemetery following the service. Reverend George Anderson will conduct the service.
