Harold E. “Ernie” Erwin, 78, Emporia, Kansas, passed away at his home Friday evening, October 14, 2016.
Harold was born December 14, 1937 in Elk Falls, Kansas, the son of Dale and Anna Lillian (Lawless) Erwin. Harold married Louetta DeFoor in Strong City, Kansas on June 25, 1960.
Surviving family members include his wife, Louetta, Daughters; Julie Weakley, and her husband, Danny, Emporia, KS,
And Rhonda Bowman , and her husband Steve, Highlandvile, MO, a sister, Phyllis Anderson, and her husband Jim, El Dorado, KS, and grandchildren; Jake Weakley, Caitlin Weakley, and Eric Bowman.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister; Joyce Chadwick, and a brother, Larry Erwin.
Harold was a Construction Superintendent for Blacktop Construction Company which later became APAC/ Shears. He retired thirteen years ago.
A Memorial Service will be Thursday, October 20, 2016 at 1:00 PM at the Roberts-Blue-Barnett Funeral Home, Emporia. The service will be conducted by Pastor Mark Stukey. Cremation is planned.
Casual dress requested by the family.
