Harold W. Shaw, 56, of Emporia, Kansas, died Saturday, February 28, 2015 at his home south of Emporia.
Harold Wayne Shaw, the son of James and Elsie Lucille (Scobee) Shaw, was born April 29, 1958 in Mansfield, Missouri. He worked as an operator at the Emporia Water Treatment Plant for five years.
He is survived by a son, Travis Shaw of Emporia; a daughter, Crystal Caastillo of Ludington, Michigan; a stepson, Mark Hall, Jr. of Emporia; four brothers, Koye Shaw of Independence, Missouri, Billy Shaw of Madison, Kansas, Jerial Shaw of Glenwood, Iowa, and Jimmy Shaw of Iola, Kansas; a sister, Judy Shaw-Karanja of Olathe, Kansas; six grandchildren, Ayden Castillo, Kayla Castillo, Rilyn Castillo, Brynn Castillo, Bentley Shaw, and Kaesun Shaw; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Elsie Shaw.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Friday, March 6, 2015 at Roberts-Blue-Barnett Funeral Home, Emporia. Pastor Lee Alderman of Abundant Harvest will officiate. Burial will follow at Highland Cemetery, Iola, Kansas, at 2:00 P.M.
The family will receive friends from 7:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M., Thursday, March 5, 2015 at the funeral home.
