Heidi Johanna Dixon, 54, of Americus, Kansas, died on Thursday, July 3, 2014 at her home.
Heidi was born on April 5, 1960 in Plattsburgh, New York, the daughter of Kenneth Martin and Marlene Kaherl Gustafson. She married Mark Dixon on September 9, 2000 in Emporia, Kansas. He survives of the home.
Other surviving family members are: her sons, Matthew Huggins and Adam Huggins, both of Topeka, Kansas; daughter, Amy Smith of Overbrook, Kansas; stepson, Jason Dixon of Colorado Springs, Colorado; stepdaughters, Victoria Dixon of Arkansas City, Kansas, Amy Lair of Tahlequah, Oklahoma, and Brandina Dixon of La Junta, Colorado; stepfather, John Motley of Americus; brother, Wayne Gustafson of Denver, Colorado; sisters, Rene’ Penn of Bushong, Kansas, Anita Reynolds of St. Joseph, Missouri, and Toni Dawn Gustafson of Limon, Colorado; and thirteen grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Kenneth Martin Gustafson and Marlene Kaherl Motley.
Heidi was a med aide, and volunteered the last three years at the Friendship Center in Emporia. She was a member of Americus United Methodist Church.
Cremation has taken place with a memorial service to be held at 5:00 P.M., Tuesday, July 15, 2014 at Americus United Methodist Church in Americus. Visitation will be from 2:00 P.M. until service time.
