Helen M. Ryno, 94, of Emporia died Wednesday, October 11, 2017 at the Holiday Resort Care Center.
Her funeral will be 11:00 A.M. on Monday, October 16, 2017 at Roberts-Blue-Barnett Funeral Home. Pastor Rob Clausen of the First Baptist Church will officiate. Burial will be at Memorial Lawn Cemetery. The family will visit with friends at the funeral home from 10:00 A.M. until the service time on Monday. Memorial Donations to either the First Baptist Church or the H. Dale Buck Animal Welfare Fund may be sent in care of Roberts-Blue-Barnett.
Helen Mar Kelly, the daughter of Tom and Ida Carpenter Kelly was born October 6, 1923 in Emporia. She married Delbert Ervin Ryno. He preceded her in death on April 28, 1987.
Helen was an operator for Southwestern Bell Telephone Company in Emporia. During WW II she was transferred to the office in Kansas City. Once the war was over she moved back to Emporia. She was a member of the First Baptist Church, the Auxiliary of the Lowry-Funston Post 1980 V.F.W. and the Eagles Club Auxiliary in Emporia.
Helen is survived by her son, Lane Ryno of Emporia; and her grandchildren, RaeLea Kearns of Baldwin City and Brandon Lane Ryno of Emporia. A daughter, DeAnn Burns preceded her in death.
