Helen Thill, a lifetime resident of Emporia, Kansas, died Friday, July 26, 2013 at Emporia Presbyterian Manor at the age of 78.
Helen Boyce was born at Emporia, on June 4, 1935, the daughter of Marvin and Thelma (Richards) Boyce. She married Ralph J. Thill at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Emporia, on February 12, 1955. He died April 7, 2008 in Emporia.
Surviving family members include daughters, Sheila Rhoades and Sharon Gaede, Emporia, Sandra D. Laird, Allen, Kansas and Shirley Jones, Strong City, Kansas; son, Gregory A. Thill, Lyndon, Kansas; brothers, Glen and Don Boyce, Emporia; sisters, Ruth Maxine Wieland, Topeka, Lola Farr, and Marcia Guard, Emporia; eight grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Thill worked at Dayton Toy and Hobby a number of years, until she retired in 1995. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
Mass of Christian Burial will be at Sacred Heart Catholic Church on Thursday, August 1, 2013 at 11:00 A.M., with Father Rich Warsnak, Celebrant. Interment will follow in Rosean Cemetery, north of Emporia.
The Rosary will be recited at the church Wednesday evening at 7:30 P.M.
