Helen Theresa Katzer Windle, 77 of Olpe, Kansas died on August 1, 2010 at her home.
Helen was born April 8, 1933 in Greeley, Kansas, the daughter of Francis and Josephine Egidy Katzer. She married Fred Oliver Windle on June 17, 1958 in Greeley, Kansas. He survives at the home.

Sons: Francis Windle of Garnett, Kansas and David Windle of El Dorado, Kansas.
Daughters: Mary Alverson of Gardner, Kansas; Donna Bolen of Olpe, Kansas; Brenda Robinson of Olathe, Kansas; and Sherry Windle of Hartford, Kansas.
Mother: Josephine Katzer of Garnett, Kansas.
Brothers: Gene Katzer and Leon Katzer both of Greeley, Kansas.
Grandchildren: Ben Schears; Nicholas and John Windle; Ashleigh Windle, Brooke Eickmeier; Wyatt Bolen; Rita, Chris, and Matthew Windle; and Luke Robinson.
Great-Grandchildren: Natalie, Noah, Nathaniel, Sydney, and Audrey Schears; Damian Tolbert, and Devin Jones.
She is preceded in death by her father Francis Katzer; and brothers Jimmy, Matt, and Bob Katzer.
Helen was a day care provider for 25 years, and a cook at the St. Joseph School for two years. She was a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church, and the Circle 2 Club at the church.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 A.M., Thursday, August 5, 2010, at the St. Joseph Catholic Church, Olpe, Kansas. Father Richard Warsnak of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Emporia, Kansas will be conducting the service.
The rosary will be recited at 7:00 P.M. Wednesday, August 4, 2010, at the St. Joseph Catholic Church, Olpe, Kansas. Burial will be at the St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Olpe. The memorial fund to the St. Joseph Catholic School may be sent in care of Roberts-Blue-Barnett Funeral Home.
