Hillary S. Haney

Hillary S. Haney, 33, of Emporia, passed away peacefully on Friday, March 23 at Via Christi Saint Francis surrounded by her family. She was born on December 20, 1984 in Emporia, the daughter of Richard and Katee (Gentz) Haney. On January 17, 2007 Hillary gave birth to a beautiful baby girl she named Neveah.

Hillary graduated from Madison High School with the class of 2003. She briefly attended Hutchison Community College.

She is survived by her parents, Richard Haney of Emporia, Katee Schulz (John Fidler) of Prairie du Chien, WI. Her companion Lou Galbreath and daughter Nevaeh of the home. Grandmother, Shirley Finke of Emporia. Uncles, Dale Lynn (Linda) Haney of Madison, Jeff (Karen) Gentz of Emporia, Russ (Darcie) Gentz of Prairie du Chien, WI. Aunt Kristy (Randy) Rivers of Nokomis, FL. Cousins Mandy Haney of Madison, Kris (Derek) Barnard of Olathe, Josh (Traycee) Haney of Gardner, Jeremy (Kaci) Haney of Lawrence, Brandon Gentz of Wichita, Kesston Gentz of Emporia, Kelsey Rivers stationed at Dyass Air Force Base in Abilene, TX and Logan (Whitney) Rivers of Joplin, MO.

Hillary was preceded in death by her Grandparents, D. Dale and M. Margaret Haney, Grandfather Monty Finke, Grandfather Loren Richard Gentz, Uncle Larry and Aunt Edith Haney, and Step-father Donnie Ray Schulz.

Hillary’s funeral services will be held on Wednesday, March 28 ^th at 2:00 P.M. at Roberts-Blue-Barnett Funeral Home in Emporia. Services will be conducted by Pastor Bob Robison and Pastor Mark Adams. Visitation will take place from 7:00 P.M. until; 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been set up for her daughter, Nevaeh.
