Hipolito “Paul” Ramirez, (86), of Emporia, died Sunday July 17, 2016 at the Holiday Resort Care Center. Cremation is planned.
Hipolito Ramirez, the son of Sotero and Juseta Rodriguez Ramirez was born August 13, 1929 in Knippa, TX. He married Ernestina “Tina” Guerrero on February 14, 2005 in Emporia. She survives of the home.
Other surviving members of the family include five sons, Epolito Ramirez, Hipolito Ramirez, and Juan Ramirez, all of Emporia, Victor Ramirez of Mineral Springs, TX, and Albert Ramirez of San Angelo, TX; two daughters, Lupe Santana and Gloria Hernandez both of San Angelo, TX; a brother Sotero Ramirez of Luling, TX; three sisters Jesusita Mendez and Dora Alicia Zarate both of Luling, TX and Patricia Lopez of Grafton, ND; sixteen grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren also survive.
Paul was a tile and carpet installer in Texas until his retirement. Once retired he moved to Emporia in 2000, where he met and married Tina. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
A memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be at 9:00 A.M. Friday, July 22, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 101 Cottonwood, Emporia. Father Brandon Farrar will celebrate the Mass. Burial will be at a later date in San Antonio, Tx.
