Imogene M. Wyatt, 92, Emporia, KS passed into Heaven on Wednesday, December 13, 2017 at Holiday Resort Care Center, Emporia.
Jeanie was born May 15, 1925 near Lebo, Kansas, the daughter of Roy and Bessie (Burton) Wallace. She married George Wyatt on January 1, 1946 in Emporia. They had been married 60 years.
She is survived by three daughters; Sharilyn Smith, and husband, Ron, Emporia, Marilyn Facklam, Raytown, MO, and Lou Ann Krumme, and her husband, David, Emporia. There are Six Grandchildren and Eleven Great-grandchildren.
Her husband, George, passed away on October 21, 2006. She was also preceded in death by her sister; Bernadine, and her grandson; Jerred Smith.
Jeanie worked as a riveter on B-29’s at Boeing in Wichita during WW II. She later worked at Hallmark Cards and J C Penney. She was a farmer’s wife for over 20 years and was a great cook and seamstress and helped her husband at huge events at VFW Post #1980. She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church and the Auxiliary of VFW Post #1980.
She was an incredible loving, giving and sharing person!
Funeral services will be conducted at the Roberts-Blue-Barnett Funeral Home on Saturday, December 16, 2017 at 11:00 A.M. The service will be conducted by Pastor Lee Hoskins. Burial will follow in the Memorial Lawn Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home an hour before the service.
