Inez Elizabeth King, 99, of Emporia, Kansas, died on October 19, 2011 at Holiday Resort Care Center in Emporia.
Inez was born on June 6, 1912 in Emporia, the daughter of Rudolph J. and Adelaide Totsche Redman. She married Keith Oran King on March 6, 1938 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Emporia. He died on October 17, 1992 in Emporia.
Survivors include a son, Keith Wayne King of Emporia; four step-grandchildren; and six step great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband; two sons, Walter “Joe” King, and Dennis Keith King; three brothers; and six sisters.
Inez owned King Liquor Store in Emporia for 24 years before retiring 33 years ago. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Sacred Heart Alter Society, and Eagles Club.
Cremation has taken place.
The Mass of Christian Burial, for both Inez and her husband Keith who preceded her in death, will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, October 31, 2011 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Emporia. The Mass will be celebrated by Father Rich Warsnak of the church. Inurnment will follow at Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery, Emporia.
