Irene Reichardt, 87, died on June 26, 2011 at Bickford of Overland Park in Overland Park, Kansas.
Irene was born on December 18, 1923 in Hartford, Kansas, the daughter of Roscoe G. and Chyuma K. (Higgins) Emley. She married Harold W. Reichardt on February 3, 1946 in Emporia, Kansas. He died on September 16, 1986 in Emporia, Kansas.
Survivors include: a son, Steven Reichardt of Kansas City, Missouri; daughter, Janet Lee of Prairie Village, Kansas; grandchildren, Katie Reichardt of Overland Park, Kansas, Danny Reichardt of Kansas City, Missouri, and Alexandra Lee of Prairie Village, Kansas; great-grandchildren, Taryn and Aiden Reichardt of Overland Park, Kansas; brothers, Kenneth L. Emley of Emporia, Kansas, and Leonard W. Emley of Shawnee, Kansas.
She is preceded in death by her parent s and husband.
Irene was a homemaker, and was a member of the First Friends Church in Emporia, and Friends Women Missionary Society.
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Thursday, June 30, 2011 at Roberts-Blue-Barnett Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 1:00 P.M. until service time. The service will be conducted by Pastor Charity Sandstrom of the church. Burial will follow at the Memorial Lawn Cemetery in Emporia.
