Jacob Ryan Osage

Jacob Ryan Osage, 36, of Strong City, Kansas died on June 7, 2018 at Wesley Medical Center, Wichita.

Jacob was born on July 22, 1981 in Emporia, Kansas the son of Charles and Jane Mechtley Osage.  He married Joni Lyn Atkins on February 27, 2015 in Norton, Kansas.  She survives at the home.

Surviving family members include: wife, Joni Lyn Osage of the home; daughter, Tehya Osage, Emporia; sons, Evan Osage of Emporia, and DJ Atkins of Strong City; mother, Jane (Daniel) Neill of Emporia; brother, Jamie (Adriana) Osage of Emporia; sisters, Khristin Hedges of Ottawa, Cheye Osage, Amber Osage, and Mia Yara all of Las Vegas, New Mexico; grandparents Jestie (William) Cossairt of Emporia, Charles Tayrien and Corina Osage both of Pawhuska, Oklahoma.

He is preceded in death by his father Charles Osage.

Jacob was a member of the First Christian Church, Emporia.  He was maintenance at The Larkinn Guesthouses in Strong City, Kansas. He's a member of the Iowa and Osage Native Tribes.

Visitation will be Thursday night from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Roberts-Blue-Barnett Funeral Home, Emporia.  Cremation will follow the visitation with a private service at a later date.  Memorial contributions will be determined at a later date To order memorial trees or send flowers to the family in memory of Jacob Ryan Osage, please visit our flower store.
