Jacqulyn Kay Johnson, 76, Emporia, Kansas, and formerly of Osage City, Kansas, and Ponca City, Oklahoma, passed away Sunday, December 1, 2013 at her home in Emporia.
  
  
  
  Jacqulyn Kay Gardner was born in Allen, Kansas on February 20, 1937, the daughter of John Benton “Jack” and Dorine Geroma (Balocco) Gardner. She married Maurice Johnson June 23, 1956 in Osage City. He survives of the home.
  
  
  
  Other surviving family members include: daughters; Mary Beth Bush (Kevin), Gardner, Kansas and Pamela Trelc (David), Emporia; grandchildren, Amanda Desmarteau (Dean), Matthew Benskin (Erika), Stephanie Bosiljevac (Tyler) and Aaron Trelc (Jan); and great-grandchildren, Anna and Danielle Desmarteau, Kaden and Karli Bosiljevac, Harrison and Ella Trelc, and Brett, Adam, and Caleb Spears.
  
  
  
  She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Emporia, and the Altar Society of the church.
  
  
  
  Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Emporia, on Thursday, December 5, 2013 at 10:00 A.M., celebrated by Father Richard Warsnak of the church. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 P.M. that afternoon at Saint Patrick Catholic Cemetery, Osage City.
  
  
  
  A prayer service will be held at 7:30 P.M. Wednesday evening, December 4, 2013 at the church. The family will receive friends following the prayer service.
  
  
  
  Memorial contributions to Sacred Heart Sacred Space Campaign, or the Shriner’s Burn Center of Galveston, Texas, may be sent in care of the funeral home.
