James Franklin Davis, 60, of Emporia died on Saturday, March 11, 2017 at his home.
Jim was born on February 5, 1957 in Emporia, Kansas the son of Robert Clark Davis and Mary Susan Perry. He married Cheryl Lavonne Hoffman and was later divorced. He then married Marla Craig and later divorced. He is survived by his special friend Linda Baker.
Surviving family members include: Daughters, Channon Davis, and Micayla Davis both of Emporia; mother, Mary Susan Fancher of Emporia; brother, John Davis of Emporia; sister, Janis Eddington of Emporia; special friend Linda Baker of Emporia; grandchildren, Nataleigh Davis, Zacharey Spencer, and Alaxandar Spencer.
He is preceded in death by his father Robert Clark Davis.
Jim was a truck driver for 16 years at Dolly Madison Bakery and then for APAC. Jim also was proud of his 2 million safe miles that he drove. He was a member of Abate District #12, and the National Rifle Association.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Friday, March 17, 2017 at Roberts-Blue-Barnett Funeral Home, Emporia. Interment will follow at Forest Hill Cemetery east of Emporia. Visitation will take place from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday night at the funeral home. Memorial contributions to the Junebug Cancer Foundation or for Cancer Research can be sent in care of the funeral home.
