James E. Schreck, 70, Emporia, Kansas, passed away Monday, December 25, 2017 at Flint Hills Manor Care Center, Emporia.
James was born August 19, 1947 in Emporia, Kansas, the son on Sylvester and Evelyn (McGlinn) Schreck. He married Christy Burch in Emporia on August 9, 1980. She survives.
Mr. Schreck was preceded in death by his brother, Brother John Schreck, O.F.M. and his parents.
He was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Emporia. James worked as a welder’s assistant during the construction of the Wolf Creek Nuclear Generating Station in New Strawn, Kansas.
Cremation has occurred. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday, January 2, 2018 at 10:30 A.M. at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Emporia. Father Brandon Farrar, Celebrant. Inurnment will follow in the Sacred Heart Cemetery.
