Janice Yvonne Elliott, 71 of Hartford, Kansas died Sunday, December 3, 2017 at the Kansas Heart Hospital in Wichita, Kansas.
Janice was born April 19, 1946 in Cotton Plant, Arkansas, the daughter of Robert Glen and Yula Yvonne (Watkins) Little. She was a homemaker. Janice was a member of the First Congregational Church in Emporia and she loved to read.
Janice married Ralph Elliott on October 6, 1973 in Sperry, Oklahoma. He survives of the home. Other survivors include sons Edward Lynn Sherwood and wife Brenda of Sabetha, Kansas, Robert Donald Sherwood of Emporia, daughters Stayce Yvonne Owens of Emporia, Jessica Evelyn Elliott of Burlington, Kansas, brothers Billy Little of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Joe Little of Montana, sister Debra Quarles of Berry Hill, Oklahoma, 14 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother Daniel Little.
Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Friday, December 8, 2017 at Roberts-Blue-Barnett Funeral Home in Emporia. Pastor Fred Craig of the First Congregational Church will be officiating. Cremation is planned following the service. Inurnment will be in the Hartford Cemetery at a later date.
