Jason Keith Ludlam, 30, of Emporia, Kansas, died Tuesday, January 3, 2012
near Paola, Kansas.
Jason Keith Ludlam was born October 12, 1981 in Kansas City, Missouri, the son of Michael and Lori Askew Ludlam.
Surviving family members include: his daughters, Zoey and Jadi Ludlam, Emporia; life companion, Wendi Dreyer, Emporia; mother, Lori Ludlam, Allen, Kansas; father and stepmother, Mike and Taylor Ludlam, Oak Grove, Missouri; grandmother, Gracie Mayer, Harrisonville, Missouri; sister and brother-in-law, Kim and Kevin Dobrowolski and family, Marion, Iowa; sister, Joy Ludlam, Kansas City, Missouri, half-sister, Laterra Silvers, Ashland, Missouri; stepbrothers, Mitch and Colton Askew, Oak Grove, Missouri; and many other family members and friends.
Jason was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Arthur Ray Askew; and paternal grandparents, Charley and Ruth Hoisington.
Mr. Ludlam was a mover for Two Men and A Truck in Blue Springs, Missouri. He was a 2000 graduate of Northern Heights High School, Allen, Kansas. It was there he met his life companion, Wendi Dreyer.
Jason was a talented athlete. He loved playing and watching sports. He enjoyed outdoor activities such as fishing. He liked jobs where he could work outside with his hands. Jason loved his friends and family dearly.
Funeral Services will be held at Roberts-Blue-Barnett Funeral Home, Emporia, on Saturday, January 7, 2012 at 10:00 A.M., conducted by Jessie Niedfeldt. Interment will follow in Allen Cemetery, Allen, Kansas.
The family will receive friends from 7:00 until 8:00 P.M. on Friday evening, January 6, 2012 at the funeral home.
A memorial has been established for the benefit of his daughters, with contributions sent in care of the funeral home.
