Jesus Avila, 19, of Emporia died on September 5, 2017 in Emporia.
Jesus was born on April 7, 1998 in Monterey Park, California the son of Jesus Avila Galvan and MariaVirginia Avila-Alanis.
Survivors include: parents of Emporia; daughter, Azaira Mae Avila-Verde; sisters, Marilu Avila and Linda Janell Avila both of Emporia.
He is preceded in death by his uncle Octavio Alanis.
Jesus was a laborer at Hopkins Manufacturing. When he was not working, he enjoyed hobbies that included soccer, fishing, playing video-games, and creating music. He was a loved family-oriented individual who held the sweetest and most sincere smile, his optimism made anyone’s dark day a bright one, and he will forever be missed by many of the surrounding Emporia community.
Mass of Catholic burial will be 12:00 p.m., Thursday, September 14, 2017 at St. Catherine Catholic Church, Emporia. The rosary will be recited Wednesday night at 7:00 p.m. at Roberts-Blue-Barnett Funeral Home. Burial will take place at Memorial Lawn Cemetery.
