Joan Gertrude Arnold

Joan Gurtrude Arnold of Emporia, passed away on Wednesday, July 17, 2024, at Newman Regional Health in Emporia.  She was 97.

Joan was born on April 22, 1927, in Emporia, Kansas, the daughter of Charles Arthur Henderson and Elvyn Tressler,Henderson,Baker.  She married Carl Arnold, Jr.  He died in 1969 in California.

Surviving family members include her son, Danial Arnold of Emporia.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, brothers Marion Henderson and John Melvin Henderson.

Joan was a Registered Nurse for many years working in California, Texas, Topeka, Emporia and the territory of Hawaii.  She dedicated her life to helping people and was a joyful light in many lives.  She was always very concerned about the welfare of her son, Daniel.
