Funeral services for Joann Baysinger will be held Friday, May 6, 2016 at 10:30 A.M. at Roberts-Blue-Barnett Funeral Home, Emporia. The service will be conducted by Pastor Joe Tuttle, Bethel Baptist Church, Emporia, Burial will follow in Cottonwood Cemetery west of Emporia.
Mrs. Baysinger passed away at her home on Friday, April 29, 2016 at the age of 72.
Joann Gosser was born in Emporia, Kansas on January 9, 1944, the daughter of James and Viola Mae (White) Gosser. She married Gilbert Lee Baysinger in Cottonwood Falls, Kansas on June 29, 1962. He died December 18, 2012.
Surviving family members include her sons, Clinton Lee, Clayton, and Chris Lee Baysinger; daughters, Angel Paige, Gae Harrison, Lillie Hanson, and Ginger Baysinger; sisters, Dorothy Carpenter, Nancy Wyatt, and Patty Vogts; twenty grandchildren; and eighteen great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Baysinger was preceded in death by her husband and three grandchildren.
She was a loving mother and grandmother.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday morning from 9:30 A.M. until service time.
