JoAnn Rincon, 71, Emporia, Kansas, passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her family on Saturday, December 21, 2024.
   JoAnn Rodriguez was born in Emporia on April 18, 1953, the daughter of John and Josephine (Mariscal) Rodriguez. JoAnn and Richard Rincon were married at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church on April 8, 1972. He survives of the home. Other surviving family members
   
   include her daughter; Michelle Gomez, Kansas City, Kansas, sons: Richard Rincon, Jr. Shawnee, Kansas and Michael (Elizabeth) Rincon, Peculiar, Missouri, grandchildren; Gabriella (Alexander) Zavala, Lucas Gomez, Ryleigh Rincon, Kenady Rincon, and Zoey Rincon, and
   
   great-grandchild; Mateo “Babydoll” Zavala. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Robert Rodriguez.
  
She was a Teachers Aide for Unified School District #253, Emporia, prior to her retirement. JoAnn was active with the Emporia Migrant Education Program and was a member of the Emporia Area Retired School Personnel Organization.
JoAnn was a member of the Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church, Emporia, where the Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, December 28, 2024 at 11:00 A.M. Burial will follow in the Sacred Heart of Jesus Cemetery. The Rosary will be recited Friday at 7:00 P.M. at the Roberts-Blue-Barnett Funeral Home, Emporia. The family will receive friends following the Rosary.
The family prefers no flowers with memorial contributions given to Hope Lodge of Kansas City, and sent in care of the funeral home, PO Box #175, Emporia, Kansas 66801.
