John Arthur Hubert

John Arthur Hubert of Emporia, died on Wednesday, October 8, 2025, at his home in Emporia. He was 67.

John was born on July 13, 1958, in Emporia, Kansas, the son of William Arthur and Helen Colleen Jacob Hubert.

Surviving family members include his sister, Cara (Brad) Demler of Emporia; brother, Steve (Margie) Hubert of Placentia, California; nieces and nephews, Taryn (Alfonso) Escobedo, Madisyn (Anthony) van den Heuvel, April (Diego) Luengas, Ian (Becca) Prosser, and Arlen (Jackie) Prosser; great nieces and nephews, Alfonso Escobedo, Livy Escobedo, Beau van den Heuvel, William (Alexa) Luengas, and Jayden Luengas.

He is preceded in death by his parents.

John was an auto mechanic in his earlier years and continued his work, helping his family when needed, until his final days. In his spare time, he enjoyed drinking coffee while listening to rock music and spending time with his family. John was an avid collector of antique clocks, coins, and swords, among other things. He was always looking for a new treasure to add to his collections. He will be remembered by his family for his sense of humor, selflessness, and always being there, especially when a vehicle or appliance needed fixing. John was always happy to lend a hand and help. John also was very fond of the family dogs and enjoyed watching them and spending time with them.

Cremation is planned with a private service at a later date.
