John Wayne Winter, 52, Emporia, Kansas, died at his home April 20, 2014.
Mr. Winter owned and operated Winter Aviation, Inc. at the Emporia Municipal Airport, and had also been a mechanic for Life Flight Air Ambulance service for five years.
Cremation is planned. A memorial service will be held at Grace United Methodist Church, Emporia, on Tuesday, April 29 at 11:00 A.M. The service will be conducted by Pastor Susan Daniel-Brey of the church. A graveside inurnment service will be conducted at 2:30 PM that afternoon at Sunnyslope Cemetery, Council Grove, Kansas.
A memorial has been established and will be designated later. Contributions may be sent in care of the funeral home.
